Dos años son los que el Ayllu de Catarpe lleva realizando junto a SQM y su equipo de Atacama Tierra Fértil un programa de recuperación de suelo agrícola en el sector Cuchabrache. Apoyo que se suma al proceso de habilitación de un terreno comunitario para volverlo productivo y asesorías para revitalizar la agricultura de la zona.
Coincidiendo con la segunda cosecha de choclo en la localidad, y en una emotiva ceremonia con testimonios de vida de agricultores del Salar de Atacama, la comunidad agrícola recibió una máquina chipeadora para implementar un programa de elaboración de compost en la localidad.
