With ceremonies in Santiago, Antofagasta and Iquique, SQM Iodine Plant Nutrition commemorated the 20th anniversary of its Excellence Scholarship Program, an initiative that confirms its commitment and support for the professional development of its employees and their families.
Since its creation in 2005, the company has awarded 291 scholarships to employees and 538 to children of employees, totaling 839 stories of effort and dedication. In 2025, 127 beneficiaries were recognized—49 employees and 78 sons or daughters of employees—reaffirming the company’s commitment to the development of individuals and their families.
“We are proud to celebrate 20 years of this scholarship program, which reflects our purpose of developing unique capabilities to transform resources into life and progress. We recognize the participants’ effort and desire to excel because we know that knowledge opens the door to better opportunities, a better company, a better country and, ultimately, a better future for everyone,” says Pablo Altimiras, CEO of SQM Iodine Plant Nutrition.
The Excellence Scholarship Program has become one of the company’s most emblematic initiatives.
