Embárcate Program awards entrepreneurs from María Elena, Quillagua, Pisagua and La Tirana

With the aim of promoting early-stage ventures and fostering the development of new businesses, El Puerto Cowork, together with Fundación Factor de Cambio and SQM Iodine Plant Nutrition, awarded prizes to the winners of the Embárcate program in the towns of María Elena, Quillagua, Pisagua, and La Tirana.
Each session began with presentations on the projects before a specialized jury and concluded with the awarding of a prize to one winner per location, who received a financial incentive to launch or further develop their businesses.
In Quillagua, the winner was Patricia Díaz, with her venture “La Pelirroja.” In María Elena, the award went to María Echeverría, from “Sabrosura Marina.” In Pisagua (Tarapacá Region), the recognition went to Luis Mondaca, of “Embarcaciones Mondaca.” Finally, in La Tirana, the winners were Hugo Flores and Eva Aguirre, with the project “Cuminalla Quesos.”
“The program seeks to challenge the entrepreneurs and build their knowledge. One of our company’s core values is precisely that: challenge. It is important for them to learn about finance, costs and logisticsto develop their businesses,” said Alejandro Fernández, Head of Production Development at SQM Iodine Plant Nutrition.
The Embárcate program had 65 people enrolled in different areas and offered workshops such as: Skills for sustainable entrepreneurship and leadership, Business strategy and prototyping, and Financing, strategic alliances and pitches.
