Dow Jones Sustainability Index
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (or “DJSI”) is a set of several sustainability indexes that integrate companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange with high performance in different areas such as the economy, social issues and the environment.
In 2020, the S&P Dow Jones Index qualified SQM in both the DJSI Chile Index and the DJSI MILA Pacific Alliance Index, which represents a great achievement for the company.
This is a reflection of our work, which focuses at encouraging sustainability through the annual publication of our Sustainability Report, which is carried out under GRI principles and is also verified externally.
We are committed to integrate and enhance sustainability as part of our development strategy. This commitment translates into challenging our operational practices to reduce the impact on our environment, meaningful dialogue and building respectful and close relationships with neighboring communities, and achieving a high standard of transparency in everything we do.

To participate and actively respond to questionnaires for chemical industries.
In the Dow Jones Sustainability Index during 2023, we were accepted in the DJSI World and Emerging Markets indexes. Two years before our internal goal, we maintained our inclusion in the DJSI Mila and Chile indexes. Furthermore, we were awarded as Sustainability Yearbook 2024.
